In the aftermath of the second-deadliest storm in U.S. history, Hurricane Maria left Puerto Rico’s infrastructure devastated and 3.4 million American citizens in the longest power blackout in American history.

In the middle of that island-wide darkness, an overwhelming sense of community emerged. Hurricane Maria: Stories from the Storm follows the people whose lives the storm changed, and the resilience and community work that became Puerto Rico’s best hope.
